The Boston Bruins have signed goaltender Jeremy Swayman to an eight-year, $66 million contract through the 2031-32 season that comes with an annual NHL salary cap hit of $8.25 million.

On Friday, TFP’s David Pagnotta and Dennis Bernstein discussed progress in negotiations between the Bruins and Swayman’s camp, with the anticipation of an AAV coming in above $8M. The two sides finalized the deal on Saturday and announced the move Sunday morning.

Swayman, 25, posted a 25-10-8 record with the Bruins last season, along with a 2.53 goals-against-average and a .916 save percentage. In 12 playoff games, he recorded a 2.15 GAA and a .933 save percentage.

In 132 career NHL games, all with Boston, the Anchorage, Alaska native has posted an overall record of 79-33-15 with a 2.34 GAA and a .919 save percentage.

Selected to the 2024 NHL All-Star Game, Swayman was originally selected by Boston in the fourth round (111th overall) of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.
