NHL teams report to summer camp on Monday, but players have already been back in their team cities and are itching to hit the ice.

The Washington Capitals are primed to return to the Stanley Cup Final to close out the 2019-20 season and some of their top players are excited for the opportunity.

On Saturday, team captain Alex Ovechkin posted a reunion picture on Instagram with Russian teammates Dmitry Orlov, Ilya Samsonov, Ilya Kovalchuk and Evgeni Kuznetsov.

After the Capitals won the 2018 Stanley Cup, they went on what appeared to be an endless bender and kept the celebrations going until the start of the 2018-19 season.

We’re loving the energy The Russian 5 are bringing to the table and if they harness those powers, we could see them represent the Eastern Conference in the Cup Final, once again.
