“i BELIEVE IN RETROSPECT”…

Everyone in the world has been dealing with the COVID-19 global pandemic in their own way. For some, it’s been difficult. For others, it’s been an adjustment.

Utilizing this new-found extra time on our hands can go either way; we all have to find what works best for each of us.

Edmonton Oilers defenceman Mike Green is no different.

The 34-year-old has been using his time during the pause in the NHL scheduled for self reflection and rediscovery.

“Perspective is often created based on our environment,” he wrote in an Instagram post. “Quarantine has forced the world collectively to stay inside, just in the same way you have to go inside yourself to find your own truth. I believe in retrospect, some of us will feel renewed after this period of time ordered to do nothing else but reflect, discover, and just be.”

In a variety of posts over the last few weeks, Green has shared his views, newfound interests and hobbies, his passion for fishing, and the love he pours out for his family.

Green also seems to be healed from a knee injury that shut him down after just two games with the Oilers after being acquired at the trade deadline from the Detroit Red Wings.

We’ve shared some of his posts below, but check out his Instagram page for a deeper look into his time during quarantine.
