The Edmonton Oilers have acquired forwards Trent Frederic and Max Jones, and the rights to forward Petr Hauser, in a three-way deal with the Boston Bruins and New Jersey Devils.
In the first move, the Bruins dealt Frederic to the Devils for Hauser and retained 50 percent of Frederic’s contract.
The Devils then moved Frederic to the Oilers for unsigned draft choice Shane Lachance. New Jersey retained 50 percent of Frederic’s remaining deal, which equates to 25 percent of his total deal.
The Oilers then moved defenceman Max Wanner, a 2025 second-round draft pick and a 2026 fourth-round pick to the Bruins for Jone and Hauser.
Frederic, 28, has appeared in 57 games for the Bruins this season tallying eight goals and seven assists.
He ranked No.26 on the TFP Trade Watch List.
The St. Louis native was originally drafted 29th overall by the Bruins in the 2016 NHL Draft.
