The New York Islanders remain active in the trade market after moving centre Brock Nelson to the Colorado Avalanche Thursday evening.

The Isles have generated interest in forwards Kyle Palmieri, Jean-Gabriel Pageau and Anders Lee, though it is unclear if any, two or all three will be moved ahead of today’s 3pm ET trade deadline.

As TFP’s David Pagnotta first reported, the Islanders have presented Palmieri with a two-year contract offer to stay on Long Island. If a deal is not reached at some point this morning, the Islanders are expected to trade him.

Prior to moving Nelson to Colorado, the Islanders pitched a three-year extension worth well north of $7 million per season, but were unable to bridge the gap and GM Lou Lamoriello opted to move him.

Several teams, including the Winnipeg Jets, are believed to have interest in Pageau, who has one more year left on his contract after this season and comes with a $5 million salary cap hit.

Lee, 34, also has another year remaining on his contract and owns a $7 million cap hit.

Both Palmieri and Pageau each have a 16-team no-trade list as part of their respective contracts, while Lee has a 15-team no-trade list. The Chicago Blackhawks are among the teams that have kicked the tires on Lee’s availability, according to Pagnotta.

Palmieri and Pageau are among the players ranked on the TFP Trade Watch List.
