FLYERS TRADE WALKER TO AVALANCHE

The Philadelphia Flyers have traded defenceman Sean Walker to the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for centre Ryan Johanssen and a 2025 first-round draft pick.

Walker was ranked No.9 on the TFP Trade Watch List.

The Flyers have subsequently placed Johansen on waivers, as first reported by TFP’s David Pagnotta.

Walker, 29, skated in 63 contests with Philadelphia and registered six goals and 16 assists for 22 points.

The Keswick, Ontario, native represented his country at the 2021 World Championship, helping Canada capture the Gold Medal.

Ryan Johansen tallied 13 goals and 10 assists for 23 points in 63 games with the Avalanche this season.
