The Anaheim Ducks have signed left wing Frank Vatrano to a three-year, $18 million contract extension, which includes a seven-team no-trade list.

As part of his new deal, $9 million is being deferred, with a $900,000 annual payment, starting 2035, due for 10 straight years. He will earn $3 million in each of the three years of his new contract. As a result, his salary cap hit, starting next season, is $4,571,189 through the 2027-28 campaign.

“Frank is an important member of our team and is committed to the organization moving forward,” said Ducks GM Pat Verbeek. “He is a hard-nosed, competitive player with a gift for scoring goals. We couldn’t be happier for Frank to sign for three more years.”

Vatrano, 30, leads all Ducks skaters with 68 goals and 20 powerplay goals (PPG) and ranks second with 121 points in 200 games since joining the club as a free agent July 13, 2022. He has scored nine goals and added 11 assists for 20 points in 37 games with the Ducks this season.

“I see how bright our future is and we are making turns in the right direction to ultimately bring a Stanley Cup to Anaheim,” said Vatrano. “I couldn’t be happier to sign a three-year extension, and I am excited to help this team grow and be a big part of our future.”

In 601 career NHL regular-season games with the Boston Bruins, Florida Panthers, New York Rangers and Ducks, Vatrano has recorded 169 goals and 122 assists for 291 points with 353 penalty minutes, to date.
