The Philadelphia Flyers are willing to listen to trade inquiries on a number of their players and it is no secret that defenceman Rasmus Ristolainen has been the subject of trade chatter before and recently.

It seems, however, that a move involving the 30-year-old blueliner may not be in the cards this season.

According to Flyers beat reporter Kevin Kurz of The Athletic, the Flyers “haven’t gotten many calls on” Ristolainen and while things can change with one phone call, he is not expected to be moved, as of now.

“Fewer (calls) than they expected,” Kurz reported. “There is a decent chance now he sticks around post-deadline.”

Ristolainen has two more years remaining on his contract after this season and comes with a $5.1 million salary cap hit.

The Flyers appear to be generating more interest in forward Scott Laughton, who has one more year left on his deal.

Laughton, 30, has attracted interest from such clubs as the Toronto Maple Leafs, New Jersey Devils and Ottawa Senators. The asking price is believed to start with a first-round draft pick, or a young prospect or NHLer of equivalent value.

Both Laughton and Ristolainen are among the players listed on the TFP Trade Watch List.
