SENS EXPECTED TO TRADE TARASENKO
Vladimir Tarasenko, forward
As Ottawa Senators GM Steve Staios navigates the trade waters with eight days to go until the NHL trade deadline, the expectation is he will be fairly busy changing up parts of his roster.
Between clubs inquiring about such Senators players as defenceman Jakob Chychrun, centre Josh Norris and forward Ridly Greig, and the Senators dangling the likes of winger Dominik Kubalik, blueliner Artem Zub and veteran Vladimir Tarasenko, Staios could have his hands full between now and 3pm ET on March 8.
While no move is guaranteed, one trade the Senators are expected to make will involve Tarasenko.
As TFP’s David Pagnotta reported Thursday morning, Tarasenko is willing to waive his no-trade clause for a Stanley Cup contender and the belief is a move will, not could, occur in the coming days.
Like Adam Henrique in Anaheim, the expectation is Vlad Tarasenko will be moved by the #GoSensGo ahead of the deadline. Speaking to those close to him, Tarasenko is open to a trade and will waive his NTC for a Cup contender.

It is unclear which teams Tarasenko would specifically accept a trade to, but the Edmonton Oilers, Vegas Golden Knights, New York Rangers, Carolina Hurricanes and Vancouver Canucks are all looking to add up front, among others.
Tarasenko, 32, has tallied 15 goals and 23 assists for 38 points in 55 games with the Senators so far this season.
