HENRIQUE, DUCKS TRADE TALK ESCALATING
Adam Henrique, forward
The Anaheim Ducks appear to be enhancing trade discussions with other clubs about veteran forward Adam Henrique.
Henrique, 34, is in the final year of a five-year, $29.125 million contract, and is eligible to become an unrestricted free agent July 1. He also owns a 10-team no-trade list.
Ducks GM Pat Verbeek has been engaged in trade discussions for several weeks. According to TFP’s David Pagnotta, trade talks involving Henrique have picked up and are expected to intensify later in the week.
It is unclear what the Ducks are asking for as part of a package for Henrique, however, a first-round draft pick is believed to be part of the ask. The Ducks are also expected to retain a good portion of Henrique’s contract to help facilitate a trade.
Talk around #FlyTogether F Adam Henrique seems to have picked up and should continue to escalate in the coming days. It’s a matter of when, not if, he’s traded by the deadline. Ducks all but certain to retain on his deal.

The Edmonton Oilers, New York Rangers, Colorado Avalanche, Dallas Stars and Carolina Hurricanes are among the teams believed to have varying levels of interest in Henrique.
Verbeek is also in discussions involving some of his other players, including defenceman Ilya Lyubushkin, winger Frank Vatrano, forward Sam Carrick and star youngster Trevor Zegras, who is more likely to move in the off-season, if at all this year.
