ANAHEIM DUCKS
(4)
vs.
DALLAS STARS
(5)
| In what
could be the most exciting first-round match-up, the
defending Stanley Cup champion Anaheim Ducks hope to
make a clean break into the second-round.
However, the Dallas
Stars, who went 5-3 against Anaheim this season and
outscored the opposition 24-15, will give the Ducks a
run for their money.
The Ducks are boasting a
similar lineup to a year ago. New additions Todd
Bertuzzi, Doug Weight and rookie Bobby Ryan could play a
major role in a Ducks victory, as the Stars will be
gunning for the likes of Teemu Selanne and Ryan Getzlaf.
With Mike Modano leading
the charge, and Mike Ribeiro, Brad Richards and Brendan
Morrow doing what they do best, the Stars will battle
the Ducks to the end.
Marty Turco is out to
prove his skeptics wrong and help push Dallas into the
second-round, but if he slips at all, the Ducks will be
all over him. |
