"We're
pretty private, and we obviously want to keep it that
way," Fisher told the
Ottawa Sun. "Keep our
relationship and details really private. But at the
same time, we're both happy with the way things are.
"I'm obviously happy, and it's been a good start so
far on the ice, and things are great off the ice."
Fisher,
29, and Underwood, 26, have been dating since the
start of the year.
Underwood, a Grammy-winning artist, has been spotted a
number of times watching her boy-toy in action, with
appearances in Ottawa, Toronto, and Nashville, among
other cities.
Fisher admits to having only one other girlfriend in
his life, a relationship that "lasted a while, but it
was a long time ago."
Underwood was on the Ellen DeGeneres show last week
and touched on her relationship with Fisher, but when
asked if her and Fisher planned on moving in together
in the near future, she quickly answered "no."
"Call
me old-fashioned," she said, "He's there. I'm here.
We’re both doing our thing and it’s good. The next guy
I move in with will be my hubby, whoever that is. I'm
not saying it's going to be him."
Fisher believes part of his early-success this season
-- 9 goals, 11 assists in 20 games -- is due to his
new-found love, but his relationship also comes with
added pressure on the ice.
"Yeah, there definitely can be (a tie-in) ... she
expects me to score every night now," Fisher told the
Sun. |
