Stars to focus on trades TheFourthPeriod.com
With Doug Armstrong out as GM of the Stars, his replacements, Brett Hull and Les Jackson, can focus on improving the hockey club.
According to the Dallas Morning News, Armstrong had some irons in the fire and was looking to make trades before being let go.
Jackson and Hull will take the necessary time to re-evaluate the roster see where changes need to be name. For the short term, Jackson expects the team to remain the same.
"I think we need to assess what we have before we start talking about moves," Jackson told the Morning News. "We need to get established and on the same page first."
One of the main areas of concern is the team's lack of fire power up front. The Stars have struggled to find a clear-cut first-line sniper and someone like Boston's Glen Murray could be on the radar.
Don't expect any changes within the next week, but they'll come
eventually. The Stars need to make a few deals to shake up their
roster and bring them back to Cup contention. Getting their hands
on a goal-scorer or two would most definitely help.
