Bruins sign Kobasew to 3-year deal

  The Boston Bruins have re-signed impending restricted free agent forward Chuck Kobasew to a three-year, $7 million contract.

Kobasew, 26, will make $2 million next season, $2.5 million in 2009-10 and $2.5 million in 2010-11.

The Vancouver native tallied 22 goals and 39 points 73 games for the Bruins this past season.

In 293 career NHL games, Kobasew has accumulated 57 goals and 55 assists for 112 points.

   
He was originally drafted 14th overall by the Calgary Flames in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.
