Unrestricted free agent forward Corey Perry has found a new home, according to TFP’s David Pagnotta.

The Edmonton Oilers and Perry are in agreement on a contract believed to be for the duration of the 2023-24 season, Pagnotta has reported.

Perry, 38, registered four goals and five assists for nine points and 12 penalty minutes in 16 games with the Chicago Blackhawks this season before his contract was terminated by the club.

A formal announcement is expected to be made later today or Monday.

In 1,273 career NHL regular-season games, to date, with the Anaheim Ducks, Dallas Stars, Montreal Canadiens, Tampa Bay Lightning and Blackhawks, Perry has accumulated 421 goals and 471 assists for 892 points, along with 1,392 penalty minutes.

Drafted 28th overall by Anaheim in 2003, Perry won the Stanley Cup with the Ducks in 2007, and captured the Rocket Richard Trophy and the Hart Trophy as League MVP in 2011. He made three consecutive appearances in the Stanley Cup Final in 2020, 2021 and 2022.
